Hello!
My name is Tomomi (pronounced “toe-moe-mee”), and I offer mindfulness-based, culturally-sensitive and trauma-informed psychotherapy services to adult individuals, couples, and families who reside in the state of California.
Currently, sessions are available online (telehealth) and face-to-face at my peaceful South Pasadena office. A limited number of evening and weekend time slots are available.
I have over 15 years of clinical experience helping clients between ages 5 and 80 from different ethnic, socioeconomic and religious backgrounds. I have witnessed many of them overcome their life challenges, experience improved relationships and live happily and more at ease, utilizing skills, tools and resources they acquired in sessions with me.
You may be looking for a psychotherapist for the first time and may be a bit hesitant to initiate contact. You may be feeling like your problem is not big enough (or your symptom is not so serious) and you should not bother a professional. It might also feel like seeking help is a sign of weakness.
Please know that seeking help is not a sign of weakness! On the contrary, it is a proof that you have the courage, openness and willingness to do something about your challenge(s) and I hope you will give it a try at least once and give yourself a chance to make positive changes in your life, instead of struggling continuously or feeling stuck.
